Overview
Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology was established in1967 and celebrates 42 years as a leader in publically-funded post secondary education offering 175 full-time programs at the diploma, bachelor and post-graduate levels. With a student population of 18,000 full-time students and 1,200 international students from around the world, Algonquin's mission is to prepare students for academic and career success! Programs combine theory and a practical work-related focus with many programs offering paid Co-ops.
Known as a leader in technology and innovation, Algonquin College offers cutting-edge programs through its School of Advanced Technology and School of Business. On Earth Day 2009, Algonquin signed the Association of Canadian Community College's Pan-Canadian Protocol for Sustainability and has developed a suite of "Green" programs ensuring that our graduates will become the leaders of tomorrow.
